Arbitration and Dispute Resolution
We represent local and international companies and government and semi-government entities in commercial and construction arbitration, both institutional proceedings before the UAE’s arbitration centres and ad hoc arbitration, through lawyers experienced in arbitral procedure and hearings.
The course of a dispute is often settled by the arbitration clause itself: its validity, its scope and the law that governs it. We review it first, then handle the constitution of the tribunal, the statement of claim, defence submissions and evidence, and the examination of witnesses and experts at the hearing.
The work does not end with the award. We pursue its ratification and enforcement, or bring annulment proceedings where the grounds exist. Where mediation or settlement better serves the client, we pursue it before or during the arbitration.
