Litigation before the UAE Courts
Our litigation department brings together lawyers specialising in disputes across every area of law: commercial and civil, real estate and tenancy, employment, banking and administrative, and personal status, as well as criminal matters. They appear for companies, investors and individuals before the federal and local courts at every level, through to cassation.
Every case starts with an assessment of the client’s legal position and a decision on case strategy, followed by the statement of claim, memoranda and defences, the court-appointed expert process and, finally, enforcement of the judgment. Where a right may be lost before judgment on the merits, we seek interim and urgent relief such as precautionary attachments and travel bans.
Because many disputes arise from a company, a contract, a property, an employment relationship or a financing, our litigators work alongside colleagues in the firm’s other practices, so each case is handled with specialist knowledge of the field in which it arose.
