Commercial Law
Commercial law and custom govern the day-to-day dealings of companies and traders, from sale and supply to credit and collection. We act for companies, traders, suppliers and distributors in these dealings, drafting contracts, recovering what they are owed and resolving disputes.
Many businesses depend on commercial agencies, distribution agreements and franchises; we register agencies, draft these agreements and resolve the disputes that arise from them. Our work also covers negotiable instruments such as cheques and bills of exchange, consumer protection and competition.
In debt recovery, we pursue amicable routes first and then the courts, and represent clients in commercial disputes in court and in arbitration. We also act for creditors and debtors in bankruptcy, preventive composition and financial restructuring.
